One of the ways I hope to be able to pass around a smile is by offering my handmade cards, mini-albums and other crafty goodies. I have an Etsy shop, which you can access here:
I can take a seemingly ordinary empty CD case and turn it into a unique gift. This was a special order from a gentleman who wanted to surprise his wife on their anniversary. He was going to take her to a Bruno Mars concert and wanted to give her a remembrance from the occasion. I copied the cover of Bruno’s Doo-Wops and Hooligans album and added the pages and embellishments so that the gentleman could personalize it with pictures and notes as he chose. I think it turned out pretty cool, don’t you?
I make mini-albums using paper bags to showcase your child’s school years. The albums are totally customizable for you and can include your child’s name, the school colors or mascot and can go from pre-school all the way through high school if you choose. They make great keepsake albums or gifts for grandparents as well.
I can do the same type of thing for baby’s first year, again, fully customizable for boy or girl, with or without the name of the baby. Lots of room for pictures and journaling of that all important first year. Another great keepsake for a grandparent, especially one who may live far away. It would also be a great gift to give your child when they turn 21!
Of course there are greeting cards for any occasion:
Need a card for a retirement? Just sold a house and want to give a thank you to the buyers? You name it, I’ll try to make one.
And I like to find ways to recycle with my creations. This was made using a wedge cheese container. It would make a great gift for the Halloween party hostess or just as a decoration to keep from year to year.
So, there is a sample of some of the things I do to try and bring a little sunshine into the world. Please visit my Etsy shop and if you can’t find something there you like, ask me for a custom order.
