It’s hard to believe (but not really) that a month has passed since I last posted anything. I have been visiting others and leaving comments, but it seems I really have had nothing much to say on my own. Thanks to Erica/Erika for letting me know that she hadn’t seen me around. That gave me the kick to write again.
So what exactly have I been doing in the last month? I have been watching the SF Giants play. It is a difficult year for our team. In addition to the COVID delay and precautions, we have a new manager and our pitching staff is questionable. Our catcher, Buster Posey, decided to sit out this year because he and his wife adopted newborn twins and he doesn’t want to risk exposure to them. I wholeheartedly agree with that decision. Truth be told, I think they probably should have just given this season a pass anyway. I do think from watching the games so far that we have the best fans in the stands cutouts. Our stadium almost looks full and most of them are actual fan photos. The Colorado Rockies put cutouts of only their players in the seats. Lame.
I’ve been doing some coloring while I watch the games. These can serve as my entries into the Escapist Coloring Club for this month. They are all from the Magical Jungle coloring book that I got for Christmas from my son.
I’ve seen lots of interesting uses of the mask.
And we had a bumper crop of peaches from our tree. I think I’m going to try to make a peach pie, although I’m pretty sure that is not going to be a keto friendly dish. Oh well, you only live once, right?
So that’s been what’s up with me. I’ve done a little typing and made a few cards for the Etsy site but truthfully, I haven’t even been crafting that much.
Hope everyone is staying as safe as possible out there. Hopefully I’ll get back into the swing of blogging on a regular again.
Beautiful colourings I like them all and the cards , the masked topiary really made me smile too 💜

Thanks Willow. I had to laugh about the masks as well. And the sign underneath that says Please don’t take the masks – LOL

Lol I read the sign, the whole thing is great 💜

I need to get back into the swing myself. Good for your peaches! A little non-keto here and there must be alright? Our apples didn’t do well this year. I will make a few pies, not spend a weekend doing the apple everything. Some sad, but then, more time available for other things 🙂

As with every kind of eating plan, moderation is key. I did make a pie but froze half of it so I didn’t eat it all at once. We gave some away to friends too. They really were delicious.

Colouring is so therapeutic!!!
Peaches! I’m sure you can make a whole lot of desserts with peaches and maybe just cross one line with keto xD

Hi! I ended up making a peach pie. It was delicious but I froze half for later so I didn’t eat it all at once! Thanks for stopping by.

Welcome back, Janet. Good to hear from you again. Good luck to your Giants. I have been watching the Phillies play and I agree with you – they probably should have given the season a pass. The Phillies had to postpone a week’s worth of games because they played the Marlins, who subsequently had 20+ players and coaches test positive. Ugh!

I saw that! Crazy. And then to play 7 inning double headers? Between that and the runner on second for extra inning games I wonder if this is even baseball anymore!

HI, Janet – It’s great to hear from you. I’ve seen you in comments, but like others, I’ve been missing your posts. I’m glad that all is well.

I was used to seeing your smiling face every week, Janet.🙂 Therefore, I did wonder whether you were on a much needed break or whether everything was all right. It is interesting how COVID has created a ripple effect on many decisions. Funny on the fan photos. Also funny about the interesting uses of masks. Even when you say you are not crafting much, you are still creative. Welcome back whenever it feels right for you.🙂

Thanks again, Erica. I wonder too when I don’t see someone I am used to seeing in the blog world. I thought the virus was not affecting me since I am used to working from home anyway but I guess after 5 months it is at least mentally touching me. I am going to try to get out of this funk and blogging more frequently might be the way.

Janet, A friend of mine recently mentioned how it is as if there is a grey cloud constantly shadowing our lives. Even when we are grateful. Hang in there. 💕

It’s been a weird summer. Heck it’s been a weird year. I’ve struggled for inspiration too. My husband is complaining about the Phillies too. Not a good year for baseball and football isn’t looking any more promising.

At least now you have your new cat to write about! He’s a cutie. Football seems like an even riskier sport. Hockey seems to have managed though, quarantining everyone into hotels and not letting them out until the playoffs are over.

I know what you mean about drifting away from blogging. It takes a sense of purpose that is difficult to find in August. Thanks for updating us. Been wondering…

Thanks Ally. I just lost the mojo for blogging among other things. I haven’t even been in the studio for a couple of days! Wish I could say I was busy working but I was busy wasting time. Not gonna get my dreams fulfilled that way!
