We come to our final letter of the alphabet today! “Z” is for “Zoo” sung by the Scorpions. We saw the Scorps for the first time in 1982 at Day on the Green. When we started going to concerts more regularly I had a goal to see all of those bands again. With the exception of Iron Maiden we have! I don’t really care about Iron Maiden anyway — a little too heavy metal for me.
They did in fact sing “The Zoo.” They are a very energetic band and it seemed like they were so close we could touch them.
And here is “The Zoo” from the last time we saw Scorpions in 2017.
I made it! Do I wish I had been able to completely scrapbook each event? Absolutely. But I am also truly grateful that I had some transcription work come in. Could I have spent less time embellishing each set that I did scrapbook? Sure but then I wouldn’t be satisfied with the results. Am I thankful that I had some letters already finished a while ago or a few with less pictures? You bet! I enjoyed reliving these concert experiences as I was cutting and pasting. With the current state of affairs, who knows when we’ll be able to get up close and personal experiences like this again.
I hope you have enjoyed this series. I am very appreciative of all the kind comments and visits I’ve had from everyone. Side note, I think I could do this one more time. There are at least 26 more entertainers we have seen that I have not showcased either in 2017 or this year. Tesla, the opening act for Scorpions in this show is one. Melissa Etheridge we’ve seen a couple times too and I haven’t used her in either of the challenges. Maybe if I start now…

WooHoo, you made it another year of A-Z!! Congratulations. Those are great photos – lots of up-close ones and I chuckled at ‘maybe a butt-crack too’! LOL. Glad to hear you got some transcription work to do too. I hope May treats you well and that you’re safe and keeping busy doing things you love to do.

Thanks Shelley. The ones with the closer photos were definitely more fun to scrapbook.

Good collection. Not easy to keep and in safe place to get it back when you think of it. The Zoo it is there in the menu of the event. Appreciate it.
Congratulations for successful A to Z Blogging.

Thanks Cathy! It has been a fun one but yes, I am ready to slow down just a tad. I do want to finish those projects I didn’t but I don’t have deadlines and everything is organized so it should go smoothly. Looking forward to seeing your colored pinups.

Janet,
I’m definitely ready to slow down. I have some catch up to do which shouldn’t take too long and then I’ll keep up with the 4Mers for the rest of the time I am getting some R&R. I may stay in chillax mode throughout the the summer months. Internet traffic generally crawls this time of year making it a great time for an easy going blogging pace. Enjoy your day, dearie and thanks for dropping by to vote in my BoTB!

Hi, Janet – I’ve greatly enjoyed this series. Thank you so much for sharing this with us.
You definitely have my vote to do this again — and to share 26 more concerts – that way we can enjoy them vicariously!

Thanks Donna! I am hoping that we will be able to go to some live events again but in the meantime it was fun reliving them this way. Thanks for coming along!

An excellent ending to this year’s challenge! And you had great seats too! [Or a really good zoom lens LOL]

Thanks Dena. I think it was a little of both, good seats and a good zoom.

Good for you Mz. Janet on making it too the finish line…I didn’t, I just have been totally distracted with this shut down and having the husband under foot. No schedule, blah, blah, blah, and blah ❤ I'm going to get back though starting in May. Wish the weather would warm up and the world would start working again ❤ Hope all is well with you and blessing as always my blogger friend ❤

I know, Patti, it is hard to concentrate with the guys around all the time and things being so unsettled. I just barely made it myself but I think it’s because I have my studio to get away to! Stay healthy.

Awesome ending for the A/Z! The Scorpions have some great songs, and I like a lot of songs from Tesla, too.
I’ve sure enjoyed seeing how your scrapbook pages come together with your photos. I think I like that you and your Mr. and your daughters took a picture at each concert the best. Congratulations ! 🙂

Thanks Barbara. It has been fun to go back through the concerts in this way, especially since some of them were pretty long ago. Interesting to see how we have changed over the years too. Thanks so much for stopping by!

I like the paper on which you put your photos. A nice contrast to the energy in the photos. I don’t know of the Scorpions, but thank goodness they sang a song that gave you a perfect ending to this challenge.

Right? I am happy I gave myself permission to use a few song titles throughout the challenge – took some of the stress off!

Congratulations on completing the A to Z Challenge! And hey… money coming in is a good thing, especially today. Don’t kick yourself that everything wasn’t done and dusted before you started. It was interesting to see some of these things in their unfinished state!

Thanks John. I do feel a sense of accomplishment on every one because sometimes just picking the paper is the hardest part!

I can imagine! You’re not only writing about what you did, but first need to create your scrapbook pages which look very time consuming!
