Fiddlin’ February – 2018

Here are a couple of things I’ve been fiddlin’ around with so far this month:

A few new cards for the Etsy shop:

A mini-album for Valentine’s Day, although it doesn’t say Valentine’s Day so it could be used for an anniversary or other reason you want to tell someone you love them:

I finished the book about Stevie Nicks.  I thought I was a fan but there were lots of things I didn’t know about Fleetwood Mac and Stevie.  I was out of the concert loop for many years so although I knew there was a Fleetwood Mac before Stevie and Lindsay Buckingham joined the group, I did not know that there were several tours they did after that where either Stevie, Lindsay or both were not touring with them.  We saw them a couple of times without Christine McVie.  They are supposed to be touring again in 2018 – 2019.

Now I am onto this book, a true story about a man who killed his brother after the brother became paralyzed due to a motorcycle accident.  I’ve had this book for a VERY long time (it has a bookplate with my maiden name inside!) but I don’t remember reading it.  Time to get it off the shelf.  I’m not sure I could perform a mercy killing, even if someone asked me to.

Today is Super Bowl Sunday and we are going to a friend’s house for a traditional get together.  I’m not into football and especially not this year since the Cowboys are no where to be seen and Justin Timberlake is okay but he’s not on my top 10 list.  I’m bringing some coloring to do so I don’t sit around and eat all day.
That’s what I’ve been fiddlin’ with, how about you?  Watching the game today?  Follow Fleetwood?  Believe in mercy killing?  Love to hear from you!

  1. Janet,

The mewsic cards you made are great! You do such good work. We watched the Super Bowl and I’m happy that the Eagles won. 🙂 It looked like Justin Timberlake had fun doing the half-time show. I didn’t get to watch it all, though. DH said there were complaints, perhaps on Twitter, that the sound quality of the show wasn’t good but the little we caught I didn’t notice anything. Did you? Thanks for visiting!

I was not impressed with the halftime show at all, except perhaps the tribute to Prince, but even that was a bit weak, I thought. Then again, I’m not really a Justin Timberlake fan. Thanks for the compliment. I really like making cards and trying new techniques. Glad you stopped by!

I love all of them, but the first one is just gorgeous! Great job!

  4. Your cards are beautiful, as always. We’re not football fans, but we did have the TV on with no volume while we entertained some couple friends from the campground. I’m not sure about mercy killing someone I love. I do know that if I had a disease which would make me debilitated physically or mentally, I would seriously consider it for myself. I don’t know what decision I would make unless I’m actually in the situation, but I don’t rule it out at this point, either. It’s a faith struggle mainly for me. Pretty thought-provoking!

  5. We’re still working on a room renovation project but we’ll take a break today to watch the game. At least my husband will. I will fiddle around and do things as the spirit moves me. Last time I went to a SB party it was at my house. Everyone wanted to watch the game. I was bored and the worst part was that I couldn’t go home early. 🙂

Lol I was under impressed with the halftime show and I did bring some coloring to do. It was nice to visit with people I hadn’t seen in a while and I met some new people but being an introvert, I was just as happy sitting and doing my coloring.

We don’t really follow any football teams, but we may check in a time or two to see what’s happening in the game. My husband is a golfer, so that’s what is on TV most of the time. I think I read some book about Stevie Nicks a long time ago. It was very interesting. I do like some of Fleetwood Mac’s songs. Great idea to take along your coloring! 🙂

My hubby is a golfer too and that is watched a lot in this house as well. He likes to watch the super bowl because even if his Cowboys are not playing, he watches the game because he bets on football pools. I can’t wait for baseball personally.
