2015 – Reading Challenge — Book 14

August 31– Just finished reading “Maybe the Moon” by Armistead Maupin.  It was a fun book and was a quicker read than the last few.  Not quite as shocking as the “Tales of the City” books were but then again, I’m a bit older now than when I read those so maybe I am not shocked as easily.

Now on to book 14 — “Friendly Fire” by C.D. B. Bryan.

I am counting this one as a “book based on or turned into a TV show.”  It was made into a TV movie starring Carol Burnett and Ned Beatty in 1979.  It is the story of Michael Mullen who was killed in Vietnam by “Friendly Fire” and how his parents sought to learn the truth from the government.  It is a book that has been sitting on my shelf for a while and I’m not really sure how it got there as it is not my typical kind of story.  I don’t think I saw the movie, but 1979 was a little while ago, so I may have forgotten.
How about you?  Farther along on the list than I?
